In doing so they learn that to use software to create and combine content for a meaningful purpose.

The 'design' for example can be simple sketch with labels

Task 1: Ask your students to design a timeline using pen and paper (it can be as rough draft) Ask students to think about the information they want to present (for example how many point will they want in their timeline) ask you students to think about

1. What image will represent each era.

2. What Information will link to each image.

3.How can students used the editing tools to make the images stand out.

Task 2: Once the timeline draft has been created, ask student to build the timeline using j2e5 (you may want to give your students images or ask them to search for them, themselves) Once students have made the front page, ask students to create additional pages for each era (Make sure students name each new page with a title relating to the content)

Task 3: Share with students how to create a hyperlink between an image and a slide page:

  1. Select the image and then select the link button

2. Add the name of the page you would like to link (it's important that the name of the page is spelt correctly)

3. Ask students to test each link.

4. Ask students to create a home/back button that links back to the homepage.
